MEMBERSHIP OF DSC
The membership period runs from April 1st to March 31st. The two main types of membership and the present charges are:
- Single Membership: any person over the age of 18 keen and interested in sailing and in promoting and supporting the activities of the Club.
- Joint (Family) Membership: a relationship of up to 2 Adults who are or may become keen and interested in sailing and in promoting and supporting the activities of the Club and any children of either Adult who are financially dependent on them.

We also offer a winter membership from 1st October.

Any craft including kayaks and paddleboards need to be registered with the club before use. All craft need to have a minimum of £2M public liability insurance.
The club is a Members Club. We have no paid staff, therefore all duties are carried out by the members. This includes Sunday race duties, all administrative and organisational roles and general ground maintenance.
Renewals are sent out at the start of March each year and are due by March 31st. Members who have not renewed by 31st March may rejoin up until the 30th April without paying the joining fee.
We use an online membership system. We manually check all applications. Once this process is complete you will be sent an acceptance by email and can pay by card, bank transfer, or cheque. Once payment is received you will be emailed a welcome pack.
