The club is committed to promoting youth sailing. We have a range of club boats available for hire by members making sailing accessible to as wide a range of families as possible. When possible we work with other clubs and organisations in the region to promote wider opportunities for sailing. Details of any opportunities we are currently aware of are below.

Sailing Opportunities at DSC

In the spring and autumn we run Sunday training courses for members of all ability levels, details can be found on our training page. Part of this programme is our youth race group and many of the participants in this join in our club races all year round. We often run informal coaching sessions on Sunday mornings to help young people build their confidence and we encourage participants to then join in the main race.
